Comfy room, great staff, yum ramen, ice bar after public bath. Love it!

Favorite part of the hotel was the onsen on the top floor - there is no better way to end a full day than a good soak and post bath ice cream! Room was comfortable, the bedside adjustable lighting was great, and I liked having the sliding door separating the room entryway. Fresh towels were provided daily. Location is conveniently close to train stations, with lots of restaurants and shops in the area.

The room is very clean and comfortable. The location is exceptional. The spa is a good treat after a day of shopping. The free ramen at night is good.

Only 1 lift for the whole hotel. The spa can be very crowed after dinner time.

The elevator is the biggest issue. There is only one elevator for the entire building, and it has to be shared with housekeeping during peak hours. Sometimes staff enter even when guests are already inside and press multiple floor buttons just to pick up items, which significantly slows things down. On our first morning, we weren’t aware of this situation and actually missed breakfast because of the elevator delays.The elevator situation gets even worse in the evening. Guests are heading to the rooftop onsen, others are going to the second floor for late-night ramen, and many people are returning from shopping and need to go back to their rooms. With only one elevator, the wait time can be extremely long and frustrating.Another downside is the bed. It is simply too small for two people, and the pillows are very hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.

Some staff very unwelcoming and unhelpful at check in. The AC was not working and we were not notified in advance. Breakfast, public bath, cleaning procedure and other amenities not explained or mentioned upon check in.

Great location, very near metro and JR. The free ramen was very good, and it is complimentary. The onsen was well maintained, I like that it has a security code for the women's.

Location was well connected with two nearby stations. Tons of restaurants in the area. Short walk to lots of museums, cultural sights, and shopping destinations.

The highlight of my stay was the bath--in addition to the normal pool, another section is open air, which in the middle of the city, just means no roof. If it's raining, you can enjoy watching the raindrops fall into the bath. The staff were helpful and the location is excellent--close to two train stations, as well as the bustling Ameyoko area. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Tokyo National Museum. The breakfast was quite good (mostly Japanese style dishes) and the staff keep everything in stock.

The hotel is on a very busy street, plus there is train noise. If you are sensitive to noise, plan on using ear plugs at night. My room was really small, but I expected that. If you can afford it, book a room that is a bit larger.

The location was very convenient to the Ueno station where we arrived by train. It was nice to use the onsen and the late night noodles were great.

The rooms smelled like smoke even though they were supposed to be non-smoking. There were no twin beds and the one bed size was quite small for two adults to sleep comfortably.

very nice location, close to the subways and Waseda Univ, where we had a conference. the rooms are spacious, and comfortable, a bit too large, but good for family of 4 travel.

10am check out time is a bit too early.

The location of the hotel is very handy. The public bathhouse in the hotel is very comfortabel. After bathing you can even get free ice cream or buy some cold drinks from the vending machine.

Very spacious room compared to others in Tokyo with a separate foyer area from the main room which offered much privacy and sound reduction from the hallways or if someone in the room was using the bathroom/sink. The air conditioner and fridge worked well, the room was well lit, and there was a nice view of the street and buildings below from the window. The staff were very helpful and accommodating with transporting our bags, providing information on the area and offering amenities. The breakfast also has a good selection of western and Japanese foods that are all cooked well.

Only one pillow was provided and it was not very soft

Location was great that was comfortable and son was clean and a nice treat at the end of the day. Very good breakfast.

Decent location in Ueno, close to subway and train. The room and bathroom were clean. The room layout was good, and maximized the small space.

Only one elevator for the whole hotel, so the wait for the elevator can take a bit. The hotel felt a bit worn down to me. The towels were thin and worn, and the hotel gave out only one of each size per day. The shower looked worn.The pillow was hard.
